Hello World. An Initial Blog Post

Alright. I have finally decided to take the plunge and start a blog of my very own.

For a long time now, I have been considering starting up a blog to house all of my musing about life and faith. Be it long endless rants or spoken word poetry. I have always loved journaling and it is a practice that has given me great joy and peace of mind over the years. However, I never could work up the motivation to actually start journaling on the world wide web.

In all honesty, I have never really considered myself a writer and that is a large reason why I have been dragging my feet. Although I write quite frequently for myself, it is rare that I write for others to digest my thoughts. Much of my writing has been personal stories or journal entries only read by myself, with the exception of spoken word.

Although I am nervous to be publishing my work to a blog, I am also excited to have a more “public” platform to share my work with others. It might take some time to actually start publishing content, but I hope to keep up with it regularly in the future. I would also like to give a big shout out to Rob Walker for giving me the last little bit of encouragement to start blogging. I probably wouldn’t have created this blog without your suggestion.

  1. Welcome here, brother! So excited for you!

(Is it possible to live faithfully outside certain kinds of lines? What do you mean by that? A future blog post, maybe?)

    1. I was referencing the old phrase “reading between the lines”. Finding the meaning behind words, rules, and boundaries. trying to understand what someone implies, but doesn’t openly state, when they say or write something. Sort of this idea of living in the space where literal interpretation doesn’t always capture the essence of something.
